Hopper Mountain National Wildlife RefugeHopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge is located in Ventura County, in southern California. It is bordered by the Los Padres National Forest and the Sespe Condor Sanctuary to the north. The 2,471-acre refuge was established in 1974 to protect the endangered California condor, its habitat, and other wildlife resources. The Hopper Mountain NWR is administered by the Hopper Mountain NWR Complex office in Ventura, CA, and is located in Ventura County, California, approximately 6 air miles north of the town of Fillmore.
