D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery

Established in 1896, D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery, formerly Spearfish National Fish Hatchery, serves as a living fishery museum to the public and many organizations dedicated to fish culture and resource management. The hatchery was constructed to propagate, stock, and establish trout populations in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming. Grounds are open year round from dawn to dusk. Tours of the Hatchery and Booth House run from mid-May through mid-September. There is no admission fee. Whether you visit us in person or take our visual tour, we're glad you stopped by!

D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery is located adjacent to Spearfish City Park and City Campground.
